Californians: Election day is today.
Posted by michellemoquin on June 3rd, 2008
Good morning!
California’s Primary election is today. I know many of my readers do not reside in California so bear with me in regards to today’s write. Unfortunately we did not get a chance to discuss on my blog any of the candidates running for office so I am hoping that all of you did your research and will keep in mind all that has been going on these last few days before you go to the polls.
Since I am a huge animal advocate, the candidates that I elect will be based much on what Madaline proposed as well as how much they care about the humane treatment of animals, and who have consistently supported animal protection legislation.
If any of you are interested in which candidates fall into the category of protecting animals see below:
WASHINGTON (May 29, 2008)—Citing their leadership and support of animal protection policies, the Humane Society Legislative Fund announced its endorsement of 39 California candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives.
“In order to have humane laws, we need to elect humane lawmakers,” said Michael Markarian, president of Humane Society Legislative Fund. “We urge Golden State voters to elect candidates who care about the humane treatment of animals.”
The slate of endorsements for the U.S. House includes 36 incumbents who have consistently supported animal protection legislation and have received high marks on the annual Humane Scorecard.
HSLF is a nonpartisan organization that evaluates candidates based only on a single criterion: where they stand on animal welfare. HSLF does not judge candidates based on party affiliation or any other issue.

Oh and Readers: In regards to Political Wednesdays or as Doug coined, ‘political day trip’…(I just love that Doug - we’ll have to use it another time.) :(…my attempt to discuss running candidates….I only have one thing to say:
‘Wha’at was I thinking?!’
Actually…two things to say….‘Why didn’t you my dear readers say something?’ I think with Madaline’s advice, after so many months of waiting and asking and waiting again… I just got a bit too gung-ho…a bit too excited! With all of the candidates running for office on a national level, not to mention a state level….between Congress and the Senate, dribbling down to City Council Members and the Assembly etc…Ugh! There are hundreds of people to consider and quite frankly as much as time expands to meet my needs, I don’t think there is enough time in my day to commit to taking this on. You see the above list showing the candidates in the California Primary….and that is just a few from California….and my commentators are from all over the country! That is just too much to cover.
That being said, I am not against talking politics any time on this blog. I welcome the conversations and comments with open arms and mind. If you can think of another way to approach this I am open for suggestions. Otherwise, we were given the advice after months of hearing me and others say, ‘There must be another way!’ Madaline gave us simple guidelines; you’re either going to heed them or do what ever it is you’re going to do. The power is in our hands to make an impact. Now it is up to us. I personally am going to take Madaline’s words of wisdom very seriously. I hope that you do too. And to remind you of her very explicit words of advice, so that you don’t have to go back and search through the blog comments, I think that I am going to either have a link in one of the side columns or post a new page with Madaline’s political perspective. I’ll let you know when it is up. Thanks Maddie!
Hey Zen Lill: I am looking forward to your blog series on this– Great idea!
Hi anonz: I really don’t know what to say….I could feel your emotions as you wrote your chronicles. I am moved and touched by your sensitivity to all that happened and inspired by your humble heroism. I can feel, without me having even met you before, that you are a changed individual from the person who wrote in months ago. How could you not be? How do you think this will affect what you do now in life? And what are your plans, if any? I think you have much more to contribute, albeit, I hope in a more safe manner :)…..and much to teach. I am delighted that you are back conversing with us and I look forward to hearing more from you.
Hey Al: Thanks for taking a moment to write in. Happy you are still with us. Sorry that you are in such a funk - how do you think this came about? - anything we can do to help?
I am feeling very relaxed this morning…off to wind up. We are picking up our cow today - yippie! Fresh grass-fed beef!
Bliss out everyone!
Gratefully your blog host,
michelle ?

Hi MICHELLE, I see that it is California Local Election Day. I hope the best, most qualified individuals win - Male or Female. I am not a very political person except when it concerns the next Presidential Election. I have my favorite and will vote for them. It is crucial that the wrong Candidates does not get elected or the future of our entire planet may be at stake.
MADALINE, I am sorry to say that I feel that the handful of Girlz who went on a 2 month voyage have returned with altered bodies and minds have renounced being Human Earthlings. Going for a ride on a Space Ship does not make one an Alien. This also does not automatically make your every word Gospel. I personally would like to be referred to as a Man on my own merits and not grouped in as a “Whitebread”. I would also appreciate not being compared to Women or OTW’s. We are all different, with different upbringings and ideas - some political, some social.
ANONZ, perhaps you can explain how Manaline’s Comment on June 2 (comment 5) plainly states that an earth Woman who has been enhanced can forget her entire birth and upbringing on Earth including Family; and call herself and her girlfriends “Alien.”
Does it not seem strange that a 2 month Space Voyage can alter a person’s perception to the belief that they are Aliens - born and raised on another Planet in another Galaxy. I find this impossible. You are what you are.
I have tried to hide my religion to fit in with the majority many years of my life. I found that the harder I tried to hide my roots, they showed all the more.
There are many things that happen on this blog that make no sense - even allowing for Alien
Involvement, they just don’t turn out logically.
I am sorry to have just met you yesterday and here I am asking your opinion of the strangeness I must endure if I want to be involved with this blog. It is just that I rarely have another Male to converse with and just as the Women feel safety in numbers, so do I.
ANONZ, would you due me the courtesy and tell me what you really believe about this strange bl.og that you have chanced upon - no holds barred? I know that there are certain people on this blog whose feelings you do not wish to upset. Other than that, would you tell me honestly what you think is going on here? I really need to hear it from a fellow Male. Thanks.
REGULARS, I hope that I haven’t hurt anyone’s feelings. This was not intentional. I simply want another mans’ opinion of what he reads into this blog and the Aliens actually living it.

Hi Michelle,
Yeah, um, you didn’t mention Madaline’s comment when I spoke to you on the phone this aft, funny thing that : ) wow. It was great talking to you, it’s been awhile. I will know C’s travel dates soon and maybe I can plan that visit soon.
A funny thing happened on the way to my new woman-counselor, the elevator opened and my good friend, Mark, (who was just over last night, we drank a bottle of wine and he and his kid stayed for dinner) was standing in front of her door talking on a cell phone. I was thinking it could be mighty uncomfortable for both of us when the office door opened and his wife, an acquaintance, came out was answering a text message, neither saw me, I freaked out and bolted! Too weird for me…I’ll have to find someone out of my zip code.
anonz, wow sweet pea, it seems you didn’t have this Amazon but another whispering ‘not today’ but personally I’m glad you thought it was me.
Michelle already said it best in her blog entry re: your story, so I won’t repeat I’ll just second her sentiments. I will just add what struck me: your utter lack of the usual male ego involvement (no offense other dudes, really) and the ability to say it, you were scared and alone and all that, that just got me.
These other details just supplied by Madaline are true unless you say they’re not, most were related to us here before, on the day of your head wound, I wrote about it on my blog that day. You are one amazing man & you’ve got heart and soul also, quite a combo.
Madaline, girls, yes it’s nice that you know not to piss me off : ) He’s not ‘mine’ (I don’t ever claim ownership of another, especially a self sufficient man such as our anonz) but nonetheless, he’s back and I’d like to enjoy his return. I have to admit, the scene setter that you found sexy, well, girls, I’m no different. I love a manly man, can’t help it, maybe bc I’m so alpha myself?
anonz, you know what? And I am just compelled to say this: nice cash flow or not, you’re a rare individual. I think that the money is funny honey cause I actually never believed it when you wrote in to me on my blog (I think I’ve already apologized for that, but if you haven’t read that one, I’ll say it now: I’m sorry I thought you’d lied).
It gave me an instant stomach ache when I read the part about the Irishman seeing your head injury, I can’t take reading about you in that state. I am interested in your answer to Howie’s q’s.
I have other comments so be back later or tomorrow, too tired to talk more now.
Howie, thanks for sharing your story, you’re a rare one also, btw, this female takes no offense at male bonding : )
Al, I was just beginning to wonder if you were laid up when you wrote in, thanks. Sorry to hear you’re not well right now, hope it passes soon.

Hi Michelle…
oh I know Madaline will want to kick my ass but try to remember Madaline, I’m not only alpha but I’m a girlz, hahaha
Thanks for your permission to do a series re: women and the need for more in power. I’m starting off about the better male/female stuff, next: why, historically men dominate…and you know, whatever the hell else I want to say on the subject.
I’ll just apologize now, I just can’t throw ‘men’ under the bus just for being ‘men.’ I like em’ too much (and having a hairy woman just doesn’t do it for me) so I’m up later than I want to be but I’m out way earlier than I want to be also so I’ll leave the link here: http://edgy1.wordpress.com/

I have been unable to blog here, as our government (or something) is not allowing me to on this topic for a while perhaps since I have been writing some scathing remarks of some tax issues that our administration has hit on the small business and little guy. The benefits to the high wealth individuals gets yet more opportunities based on these changes. As I have tried to explain numerous times herein, to no avail, I am guessing if I write something without using any real words I will be able to get something posted…
In the mean time I will put it up on my blog later today for your review

Let’s see if this nonsense will post…
