Fight, Don’t Fold
Posted by admin on February 3rd, 2010
I haven’t spoken about health care in awhile. We, meaning all of us, can’t drop the ball on this one. You already know my feelings about why I stand behind health care reform. Even if the bill is watered down to almost nothing, that nothing is something for millions of people. Let’s not deny anyone their right to health care.
Do you live in the Bay Area? MoveOn, is asking EVERYONE to stop by Senator Feinstein’s office and drop off a flyer, this week.
Dear MoveOn member,
News out of Washington is that Democratic leaders may be coalescing around a plan to finish health care reform.1
But conservatives are pushing back hard. The Senate GOP is threatening a “free for all” of amendments to derail the process, while Sen. Chuck Grassley has promised partisan “war.” And a handful of conservative Democrats, like Evan Bayh, are echoing GOP opposition.2
It’s time for all Democrats to show bold leadership, stand up to the threats, and get reform passed—and they need to know that voters are counting on them to make it happen. We put together a flyer that sends just that message. Can you stop by Senator Dianne Feinstein’s office in San Francisco today or later this week to deliver a flyer and tell your senator to fight to finish health care reform?
We know from firsthand reports that in-person deliveries like these definitely get noticed and relayed back to the senator in Washington.
There’s a clear path to finishing reform, and finishing it right. Through a process called “budget reconciliation,” Senate Democrats can fix the health care bill and pass real reform with just 51 votes.3
But opponents of real reform are determined to stop it. Make sure your senator knows you’re counting on Democrats to fight, and get health care reform done.
PS. In addition to the flyer, I decided to add my own personal touch - I printed a little ‘message’ on the back. If you’d like to add this ‘message’ to your flyer, feel free to use it. I think it would be fun to see just how many of these Sen. Feinstein receives with our little addition. :)
Charlie: Interesting post. Thank you for informing us.
Anna: I am so excited for you, Peter, and the Chamorro people. I can imagine that Guam is so excited. What plans does the island have for Obama’s visit?
Kaylani: I am so happy that you wrote in to us and you are feeling better and supported. I am looking forward to hearing from your family. Lots of love…
Alexander and Adam: I hope that you don’t mind that I am responding to both of you at the same time. It is always a delightful surprise when you chime in. I always enjoy seeing you both here as well as reading your informative comments. You are missed by me as well as my readers. I hope that you are both doing well.
Thank you Helena. How are you?
Erica and Jarret: I am not preventing you or anyone else from posting on my blog. However, if I did it would be readers such as Kent, and even then I wouldn’t.
So no Kent I did not edit your post. People need to be warned that there are many people out there such as yourself. And FYI Kent, “If you get near your wife again, I will make sure that you come within an inch of your life over, and over, and over again….and I know just the girl who would find great pleasure in it. She has been practicing that little tactic for at least a few years now.”
Gratefully your blog host,

I am mucccch better today, signed off here and went and read A New Earth ‘pain body’ chapter, took a long nap (sleep deprivation could account for my reaction yesterday, at least, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it) BUT especially now after reading the comic relief provided by Kent, what a jerk, too funny…and honey, big hands, big feet don’t always mean - hee hee -and you, darlin’ are proof of that! Your wife probably does say, Rodney Dangerfield style ‘please, take my husband!’ - I’m far from a man hater, love men, but ONLY good ones, you are not in that category, sorry to be the one to break it to you, Kent.
Mischa, I am so sorry to hear about your friends’ mother. I know you have a similar relationship with your mother, see my comment below…bottomline: I’m too old to need one but a mommy that I could talk to sure would be nice at any age. : )
Howie, great info, and presented so I can get my head around it and totally understand it. I loved your take as well as AH and Adam’s on alien/human emotion/time/relationships.
Al a mode’ - hey!
Ruth and Evelyn, I totally envy your mother/daughter relationship, I hope you treasure it, take it form someone who does not have one, it’s a huge gift.
OK, it’s a beauty of a winter day and a working one at that, so enjoy your day, Luv, Zen Lill

MAKING YOUR RESOLUTIONS REALLY WORK
New Year’s resolutions are slightly out of favor — airily dismissed as a waste of time, given their high failure rate. But there remains something compelling about the onset of a brand new year for reflecting on changes that would improve your life.
Still, local gyms are filled with well-intended, out-of-shape people in early January who nearly all go missing by early February, an interesting example of how challenging this whole resolution business is. To provide advice on ways to make resolutions that will actually come to fruition, I called regular Daily Health News contributor and life coach, Lauren Zander, founder of the Handel Group.
Lauren has lost none of her enthusiasm about the potential of New Year’s resolutions. She says that everyone has the capacity to make them a success. The way to start — preferably a number of days before the end of the year — is to think about the successful changes you have made in the past, perhaps relocating, getting a new job or patching up a failing relationship. By examining past achievements, you can unearth what in these experiences brought about success.
Almost always it comes down to the fact that you made it happen because it was something you really, really wanted, says Lauren… and this is what you need to keep in mind as you prepare possible resolutions today. Don’t think about what you should do — plan instead to fill your list with what you really want — changes that give you a sense of excitement and wonder. Differentiate between a Should and a Wish, advises Lauren. “A should brings up a sense of dread while a wish is more like the feeling of, ‘wow, I wish I could have that… do you think I could?’
”
WISHES FOR YOUR 2009 LIST
To start your list, note the important areas in your life — your health, body, relationships, family and finances, possibly home improvement, travel and the like. Jot down possible ideas for each of these areas, whatever strikes you as interesting, such as bringing more romance into your relationship, going on a far-away vacation, running a marathon or learning a new language.
(Lauren recalls how her mother once resolved to have more parties and so she came up with a list of theme dinners — and hosted one each month.) It takes time and creativity to make such a list, so don’t rush it… just keep adding your thoughts as they come to you. Then on New Year’s Day you can sit with your ideas and determine which are most important and matter most to you. These are the ones you can think about achieving this year.
Review the finalists on your list by plotting out what it would take to make them successful. Consider selecting ones that are out of the ordinary for you, ideas that excite and please you, but also are attainable.
For example, say you want to take a fabulous trip with your sister, maybe go to Fiji, but neither of you can afford it this year. You can scrap your idea completely or you can settle for something still exotic but closer to home, perhaps Puerto Rico or a Caribbean island. Or, Lauren says, you might put the trip on a future list but start planning on how to achieve it now… don’t let go of your big dreams.
THE DREADED “SHOULDS”
Wishes are challenging but also fun. Shoulds, on the other hand, are really hard and not a lot of fun. Nevertheless, many people have a Should to resolve that crops up annually as the new year approaches.
Lauren affirms how hard it is to break a bad habit (and aren’t they usually the basis of a Should?), while also pointing out that there are ways to greatly increase your chance of success for those challenges that you really should face.
First, acknowledge how attached you are to the bad habit and why you would really like to hold on to it, whether it is the pleasure of savoring a cigarette with coffee or drinking several glasses of wine in the evening to relax… or the instant gratification of snacking on cupcakes and ice cream… whatever it is.
To confront the hold a bad habit has on you, you must admit how you really feel about it. Doing so makes it possible for you to face honestly what you are going to give up.
The next step may sound odd, but it will change the paradigm you have about a bad habit, which is what it takes to open the door to success. Here it is:
Turn your Should into a Wish by finding some aspect of your habit that makes the thought of continuing it intolerable. For instance, instead of considering cigarettes a treat that brings you pleasure, visualize them as sharp nails in your coffin.
Lauren herself is a former smoker. Her definitive decision to quit came as she was rummaging in her purse for a cigarette and saw someone scavenging on the sidewalk reaching for a used butt. “I realized at that moment he and I were the same — losers — and it horrified me,” she recalls.
To heighten your chances of succeeding with your resolutions this year, be sure to tell lots of people what you are doing. You could even find someone with the same or similar resolutions to be a change-buddy with — you can support one another as you go through the process.
Interestingly, the very act of deciding on a resolution and making it a priority increases the energy you bring to it, says Lauren. “Change isn’t that difficult,” she adds. “It takes effort, of course, but once you start making the effort, it stops feeling so hard.”

Howie
That was a pretty good synopsis of the situation. Your informant is spot on. However you forgot to mention that Iruv is part of the Dvev Galaxy.
I would beg to differ with you on your assertion that Azza came to the aid of the people of the planet Iruv because “she could not resist an Adventure.” She did it because she has a soft heart for those in dire peril.
Azza is a lot more cunning than you give her credit for. She did not “send envoys to the Emperor” to ask him to intercede on the Planet Iruv’s behalf. Had she done that she might have alerted the Emperor that one of his on had escaped his dominion. Not something the Emperor would have taken lightly.
She would have risked the Emperor sending sufficient force to cause her return or her death. Azza is very intelligent, she would not make that mistake. She did send an envoy to the Federation to ask them to intercede on the planet Iruv’s behalf.
She knew that Karish was serving as the Chief Ambassador at Large. This is a position that oversees any request for combat assistance. The Federation’s first reaction to a plea for help is to always see if a cease fire can be arranged, (2.) then if a diplomatic solution can be reached before any consideration of combat assistance is taken up.
Azza and Karish have been friends for centuries. They served under the Emperor when he was a distinguished young General for the Federation. She served as his wing commander for Iliaka, the greatest fighter pilot besides the Emperor the Federation has ever known.
Iliaka was so revered that when the Emperor left the Federation, he offered her his Second to join him. She brought Azza with her. Karish originally went along because of his loyalty to the Emperor. He served as the Emperor’s First.
Azza and Karish worked together in all of the early wars that established the Emperor as the most feared leader in the Known Universe. Hence, she knew that Karish would use his position to petition the Emperor on her behalf without revealing that she existed. So, yes she did petition the Emperor, but not directly.
Howie you were correct about the outcome of Azza’s overtures to both the Emperor and the Federation., and that either was interested in intervening. Karish’s offer to go to the area to try to mediate was turned down by the Federation Counsel.
You were also correct about the Oio and why they came to Earth. But you left out that the Dvev intercepted a communique from the Oio and sent parties of their own to prevent the Oio from making any alliances that could tip the balance in their war.
You were correct when you told the blog and the Oio and Dvev about Azza’s overall strategy to help the Iruv. But you were wrong when you said that the crew of the Climax was “forced to engage in” this conflict.
The crew of the Climax serve under their Commander Azza. As a result EVERYDAY is a GOOD DAY to die for her.
You also failed to inform the blog that both you and Al would be among those to enter the fray should Michelle and her ship join Azza on Iruv. Was that an unconscious lapse or a deliberate intention not to reveal that you and Al will one day be part of the selection of men heading out with the TAO?. And would that mean that you and Al were being forced to engage in a conflict not of your choosing?
How do you two feel about that? Al you can answer for yourself, I know, so forgive me it it seems like I am asking Howie to answer for you. I am looking forward, as I am sure the TAO are to your reply.
Howie, truly your informant is magnificent. The fact that you know that Viv transformed himself into a female to be able to work more efficiently with the selection process he was tasked with is amazing. That was a choice made my Viv, himself. He did not reference it in any of his reports as he did not want the Girlz to know that he had been a man before he came up.
Evidently, Viv didn’t see any reason for us to know either. When you and he/she get together It probably will not be a point of discussion as your expended brain will chastise you enough.
You should be more curious as to whether Michelle will go than you are about how Viv will handle his task, as the former would mean that you and Al will be tagging along aboard Roy’s craft.
Adam is here on earth presently. He is still tasked with studying history and maintaing the secrecy that the TAO are non existent as far as the Emperor is concerned.
You are right in you assertion that the Oio and the Dvev are willing to go to war over wormholes. But you are wrong in your assertion ” that any Alien civilization is willing to go to war to obtain natural resources or control of phenomenon such as worm holes which make space travel much faster.”
Many worlds, solar systems and galaxies share the discovery and benefits of wormholes in their mist and surroundings as well as natural resources, and other phenomena.
I am not sure you hope that a diplomatic agreement can be arranged because you do not wish to die fighting in the “Alamo” for Azza or because it will prevent a war that you accurately portray as one which could stop and begin again if the wormholes collapsed and reappeared again, respectively.
That would be something between you and your conscious.
I as an “earthling” cannot imagine the magnitude of two galaxies at war. The senselessness of it is too absurd for reason. However, Adam has informed me that the inhabitants of those two galaxies are not too high on the intellectual rung. Many such galaxies have perished before they matured into the intellectual state the TAO crew make up.
As for your last conclusion, It is understandably made, However, my thoughts are it does not matter whether total destruction of life is worldwide, solar wide or galaxy wide. It is a senseless waste of life.
I look forward to further conversations with both you and Al and of course with your informant, Mr. Carr.

I am the wife of Kent. I am also a Born Again Christian woman. The Bible tells us the the man is the head of the household and that obedience is required towards that head. Before you start imagining that i am an inbred southern hick, let me tell you more about me.
I am an MBA grad that works for a very prestigious biochemical company. We provide the technology that will one day free up large areas for oil, coal and natural exploration. Something that is needed to prevent that boy from destroying this great nation.
I am writing to ask you to refrain from interfering in the affairs of me and my husband. When he lays his hands on me it is in the name of the Lord because of some transgression that I have committed. He is the master of our household in the exact manner our Lord and Savior deemed.
You are destined for damnation if you don’t stop this alien crap and find a way back to Jesus. I will pray for you, but you have to make an effort to let Jesus into your heart.

It seems that white america continues to profit for the lie that white men fought WWII for the United States. The OTWs are pushed out of their historical contribution and deprived of the compensations and recognitions the white man has enjoyed for more that 50 years.

Patience waning for Guam war reparations

by Nick Delgado
Guam - While the fight for war reparations continues, the numbers of survivors speaking out for this compensation continues to drop. It’s an issue that only about a handful of people came to provide testimony today before the Guam Legislature.
Although only a few survivors of the Japanese occupation of Guam came out to provide testimony on Bill 274, and shared support for the measure, it’s clear that their patience is wearing thin. Joe Garrido said, “The many efforts that were done by the first delegate up to the present delegate have not been successful,” adding, “and my experience is that I think we got a 50/50 chance that that either that bill will be shot down next budget hearing and never get war reparations from the United States.”
The measure up for discussion today would establish the Guam World War II Loyalty Recognition Commission for the purposes of bringing together island leaders and survivors of the community to aggressively pursue the endorsement and passage of the Guam war reparations legislation. Garrido says while he understands that we’re struggling to find ways to put the bill on the table of Congress before the next budget hearing, he argues that something must be done as he says their rights are being ignored.
He said, “I don’t understand why we continue to deny ourselves the rights that we are requesting to be recognized in front of Congress is human rights, not civil rights,” he said.
Vicente Garrido, who also showed support for the bill, has concerns with the word loyalty being used in this situation. He also urges all island leaders to write a letter to Congress demanding that they give the war reparations now. ”We cannot continue to keep telling Uncle Sam, how many times we have to say ‘loyalty’ [sic]. The war reparations are long overdue and its time for Congress to settle this once and for all,” he professed.
Meanwhile, Tom Barcinas, who recently went before the U.S. House Armed Service Committee in Washington, DC to present his testimony, remains optimistic that war reparations will come soon. He said, “Definitely, it’s been too long, and it’s just been dragging on so long. But I think we’re beginning to see that eventually this thing will be resolved.”
In the meantime, the House Armed Services Committee is scheduled to meet tomorrow at 1am Guam time to receive testimony on the Fiscal Year 2011 National Defense Authorization Budget request from the Department of Defense. Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo has said she is working to include war claims in this measure since they were left out in the 2010 version because of concerns from senators Carl Levin and John McCain.

I’m writing a book too. Will someone explain how Karish went from being the emperor’s first to an ambassador for the Federation? That’s a chapter that is need of a story. Also what is Iliaka doing now? Who replaced Karish as the his First? And what is the relationship between the emperor and Karish as a result of the breakup.
The really big question is why did the emperor leave the Federation in the first place and what is his relationship with the Federation like now? Howie, Al, AH, TAO?

What is with you people? God is all powerful. HE put man at the head of the household, and his Church. I am a Catholic woman who believes and who teaches her 4 children that the Bible is correct in all things.
That would mean to you “politically corrects” that man is the head of the household. Get used to it. If you are married and you make your husband life difficult, in the eyes of the Lord you have violated your oath to “Honor and Obey” your husband.
Remember that “Do you promise” part of your oath to your husband. I do.
I too have an MBA

Q: If I purchase homeowner’s insurance just before a storm, will my house be covered?
A: You may or may not be covered. Ask your insurance agent, since it’s very complicated. Generally, if a storm has been “named” before you buy a policy and your house then suffers damage from that storm, it’s unlikely that you will be allowed a claim.
Most policies exclude coverage for a named event — e.g., Hurricane Frances. Keep in mind that typical homeowner’s insurance is not all that comprehensive and does not cover losses due to earthquakes and floods. You must buy additional coverage for these.

Boy between these brain dead republican women and the republican continuous efforts to scare America away from Obama. Here is another attempt to scare us. UUUUUUUUUUUUUUh
=====================================
Urgent Message From Dick Morris!
Dear Reader,
I think it goes without saying that I believe President Obama’s blank-check government policies are threatening the very America we all know and love.
The proof is in the lack of progress.
We are witnessing unemployment rates - and underemployment rates - of around 20%, and that number has only been rising since Obama took office.
In the most recent reports, one out of every 136 homes in America had received a foreclosure notice - again, the highest rate yet - and a testament to the failure of the stimulus package.
And as I write this, the national debt is rising above $12.3 trillion. A slowdown to its reckless path is nowhere in sight.
President Obama is digging our economy into such a deep and ugly hole that it will be nothing short of catastrophic.
Not just for our country - but also for your wealth. In fact, I believe every penny you have is at stake right now.
Recently, my friend Christopher Ruddy - the CEO and founder of Newsmax - handed me a book that described, in great detail, the startlingly grim collision course that our nation is on.
He believes it’s so critical that citizens get their hands on this book that he’s secured 5,000 copies of it - and he’s giving them away for free.
Secure your free copy - click here now to read a report on this book!
The authors predict that two more immense economic bubbles are on the verge of bursting. When they do, trillions of dollars more in American wealth will be lost. Even more jobs will be eradicated. And the banking system could utterly collapse.
The book warns that Americans need to take
immediate actions to protect their wealth now.
In fact, it gives specific investments and strategies that
will allow you to actually multiply your wealth - even in
the face of the upcoming national economic hardships.
The revelations in this book are immensely shocking.
Could half of all of the people you know lose their jobs in the very near future?
Will the stock market plummet 50% or more?
When Communist China stops writing us blank checks - will our economy utterly collapse?
A decade ago, questions like these would have gotten you laughed out of the room.
But the authors have an incredible track record for predicting dire times for our nation. In early 2006, they penned a book that accurately foretold of four economic bubbles that would burst in succession.
And America witnessed their predictions come true as the real estate, stock market, consumer spending, and private debt bubbles exploded in rapid fire succession.
Their follow-up book, Aftershock, says that the worst is still ahead of us.
But you don’t need to fall victim to this destruction. If you follow the powerful advice in Aftershock ,not only will your wealth and investments be safeguarded but also your net worth will have the opportunity to multiply many times over.
It’s that incredible of a book.
I strongly urge you to claim one of the 5,000 FREE copies of Aftershock that Christopher Ruddy has acquired.
The book will lay out the financial threats to you and our nation and give you the battle plan for defending your wealth and growing it even in the face of overwhelming adversity.
To reserve your free copy of Aftershock - Click Here Now!
To Your Success,
Dick Morris
P.S. I feel so strongly in the message in Aftershock that I’m recording an exclusive Internet broadcast with one of the co-authors, as well as Christopher Ruddy, former Libertarian vice presidential nominee Wayne Allyn Root, and global currency expert Sean Hyman.
Only those who claim their complimentary copy of Aftershock will be able to view this private (and totally free) broadcast. Please do not waste another moment; get your copy of Aftershock now. Click here to secure your copy.
=================================================
Of course the book really isn’t free, if you click on it you will be charged $4.98.

To Marc #11,
You are quite correct. Also, this site is owned, operated, written and copyrighted by Michelle Moquin, as it states on the site. So, you have your answer to the question of who who will have the uncontested rights and/or who will win in court.

I always have said that having an MBA is way over-rated : )
ladies, and you know who you are - it’s not the info you load into your brain, it’s how you use it, that goes for all books, text and that one your running you life by which is written by men (gee whiz), yes - the one that apparently you think allows your man to raise a hand to you under the guise of heading up his household.
Like I said before, you people have arrangements, not marriages, but you call it what pleases you. If you want men to run your personal MBA educated world, go ahead, just stop asking other women to join you in handing over our personal female power. Oh and that goes for all the out-dated laws that go along with that lunk-headed ‘I-run-the-household’ thinking. Let your man decide how you live and what you eat and when you get a foot up your ass at your house, that isn’t ever happening in mine. At my house there will be much better things to do with both of our feet ; ) there are many ways to ‘honor’ your man, I’m down with mutual honoring. As an adult why would you or should you ‘obey’ anyone (unless it’s a bedtime game you like to play, then it’s none of my biz and have at it)?
Mischa, as a girlZ - am I in on that mission/ship? : ) I’m ready for some travel…do we get to come back at all is my only question.
Caio, and pluvness, Zen Lill

Mr. Hamilton, Thank you for answering my comment. It was a synopsis and some things were vague, but all in all the story holds true. I do have a good informant.
I am sure that in one of my comments over the past few days I did mention that Iruv is a Planet in the Dvev Galaxy.
You are correct about my assertion that Azza could not resist an Adventure. I left out the most important fact that she did it to help those in dire peril. She is there to assist the innocent underdog using diplomacy first.
When I mentioned that she sent an envoy to both the Emperor and the Federation, I did not know who Karish was, however I did know that both were notified of the Oston Conflict on Iruv’s behalf seeking. I have spoken to Carr and been filled in on their long relationship.
I did mention that a message was intercepted by the Dvev from the Oio and still wondered why they came all this way to Earth. Again I have been filled in on this.
You are correct in your statement that the crew of the Climax serve under Commander Azza and EVERYDAY is a GOD DAY to die for them.
You know exactly why I deliberately did not mention the destinies of Al and I for the entire World to see. It does not suggest anything but using discretion.
I can only answer for myself. I have given my word that if selected, I would honor the Commander with all I have to offer.
Sometimes I do not know when I have said too much. I often find myself in a precarious position. It is not easy for me to inform without going over the line. I am warned by Carr when a topic is taboo. Then I do not say anything about it.
I am very curious as to whether Michelle will go. I was told that this changes Viv’s plans, making it more difficult to inform Al and I about being dragged along in Roy‘s craft.
My assertion about Aliens going to war over resources was that MANY aliens do — not all. There is peace in the universe. Sorry for implying otherwise.
Al and I are both Earthlings and it is difficult for me to comprehend the magnitude of life lost by two Galaxies going to war. War of any kind and any magnitude is sad and is a senseless loss of life.
I hope to converse more in the future. Hopefully when my brain’s capacity is a little larger.

I think you were wrong when you said that Vice president Bush was the last high ranking U.S. official to visit Guam.
Wrong info. The other black/white President (Clinton) stopped by and spent some time here. Had a big speech on the lawn of Adelup.
Cheney was here about 2 years ago, but just spoke to the troops at Andersen and left. Didn’t talk to the locals.
Hopefully Barrack speaks to the locals.

Cheney greeted by 2,000 on Guam
The Associated Press
Posted : Thursday Feb 22, 2007 6:09:57 EST
ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam — Vice President Dick Cheney returned to U.S. territory Thursday on his way from Japan to Australia, meeting with U.S. troops and local officials who support a buildup of forces on this isolated American island.
Cheney’s brief stopover — he spent about an hour on Guam — attracted 2,000 troops and residents to hear a brief speech. The visit also brought complaints from the neighboring U.S. territory of the Northern Mariana Islands, where residents awaited the remains of the latest Iraq war victim.
The vice president stayed on Andersen Air Force Base, speaking in a hangar to mostly Air Force and Navy personnel.
He discussed the strategic importance of Guam, 3,700 miles southwest of Hawaii, in protecting U.S. interests in the region.
Cheney said Pacific sea lanes must be kept open to commerce and closed to terrorists and stressed the need to keep fighting in Iraq.
“In the years ahead, more personnel will be stationed here, along with the job of maintaining a first-rate forward operating base,” he said.
Cheney also said terrorists know they cannot win in a standup fight.
“The only way they can win is if we lose our nerve and abandon our mission,” he said. “So they continue committing acts of random war, believing they can intimidate the civilized world and break the will of the American people.”
In a brief visit to Japan, Cheney also reaffirmed the Bush administration’s commitment to the war in Iraq.
He told troops at a U.S. naval base near Tokyo that America would not relent in Iraq.
“We want to complete the mission, we want to get it done right, and then we want to come home, with honor,” he said. “The American people will not support a policy of retreat.”
Cheney said his visit to Japan was a gesture of appreciation for Tokyo, which has been one of Washington’s most valuable allies in the war on terror by offering non-combat troops to assist U.S. efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Guam Gov. Felix Camacho and the territory’s delegate to Congress, Madeleine Bordallo, met with Cheney at Andersen.
Camacho has been leading local support for plans to relocate 8,000 U.S. Marines from Japan to Guam, viewing it as a boon for the island’s economy.
Debbie Quinata of the indigenous group Nasion Chamuro said her group wants Cheney to know of its strong opposition to the decision.
The group has been pushing for reparations for harm from toxic chemicals and radiation on Pacific islands as a result of war and war games. However, a petition campaign by the group to stop the planned deployment from Japan has gathered only 400 signatures.
The group is particularly concerned about the presence of B-2 bombers, joint military exercises in waters near Guam, and the greater naval presence, including the potential for more nuclear submarines and other warships in Pacific waters.
“We believe that increased militarization will put our families, friends and relatives who are living on Guam in harm’s way rather than provide safety and stability,” the group said in a statement prior to Cheney’s visit.
In the nearby Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, where family members of Army Cpl. Leroy Camacho, 27, of Kagman village, were awaiting arrival of his remains, officials said they were disappointed that Cheney did not visit their territory. Leroy Camacho was killed by an explosion in Iraq on Feb. 9 — the fifth island soldier to die in Iraq.
Camacho’s sister, Juanette Camacho, had urged that Cheney visit Saipan, pointing out that the territory has suffered more Iraq war casualties than Guam.
Gubernatorial Press Secretary Charles Reyes said officials in Saipan were not invited to join the Guam officials meeting the vice president.

Misch, remember when I brought up writing a screenplay of this blog back in July 08? hmmm, it’s time…! Who wants to go to court with all your admirers, that just seems weird. sounds like fun, no? - ZL

We in China are not deterred by western wishes. I see a great part for Jet Li, Lin Zhi Ling, Zhao Wei, Chow Yun-Fat and directed by Ang Lee or Woo.
We as others no doubt will be reading and taking notes.

This is way better than Star Wars or Star Trek. Someone is going to get rich with this stuff. Whoever is writing the characters should step up.
I personally love the God with a pal angle that’s fresh and the comic side kick Al humanizes it. The hot chick Zen Lill(gotta love that name) add to that the mysterious Anonz and this thing is awesome.
Yes, a matter of time before a solid character picture is made for each alien and any good screen writer could make this his with out worrying about copyright infringement or plagiarism accusations.
My guess is the main players and contributors on this blog are the works of one seriously deep mind.
Okay Michelle, who is he/she? This is your last chance before I bring out the ghost writers to start my book.

My husband broke my jaw three times. Each time I went back to him. The last time he pushed me down a flight of stairs. I went to the cabinet down there were he kept his shotgun and I shot him in the face.
I am now serving 25 years to life for murder. The jury was 7 women and 5 men. The 7 women and 3 of the men voted for the death penalty in the second phase of my trail after my convention.
The contention was since I only suffered a broken nose and a few missing teeth and a mild concussion, the retrieval of the shotgun and the waiting in ambush for him to go to sleep was premeditated. So it was murder in the !1st under special circumstances.
It is sick bitches like janice and that other moron that convict men when they defend themselves.

NATURAL FIBROMYALGIA TREATMENT GETS BETTER, FASTER RESULTS
There are many, including doctors, who have questioned whether fibromyalgia is a valid illness — but don’t tell that to the few million who suffer from otherwise inexplicable pain. To them, the introduction of a drug, pregabalin (Lyrica), that treats the symptoms of fibromyalgia represented both validation and hope for some help. Lyrica was first approved as an anti-seizure medication and then used off-label for fibromyalgia… in 2007 it became the first FDA-approved drug for treatment of this condition.
However, the side effects of Lyrica can be so severe that even people who are suffering should give long and careful thought before they take it. Possible side effects include muscle weakness, dizziness, sleep disorders, blurred vision, loss of balance or coordination, easy bruising and bleeding. Weight gain is yet another potential side effect, which is problematic since excess weight is common among people with fibromyalgia.
GOOD NEWS FOR FIBROMYALGIA SUFFERERS
The good news is that since fibromyalgia symptoms are similar to arthritis, there are many natural and less risky treatment options that can ease the pain and reduce symptoms. Regular Daily Health News contributor, naturopathic physician Mark Stengler, ND, says that he has found that natural therapies work so well and with so few side effects that there’s every reason to turn to these first. He points out that Lyrica may not be effective for everyone — in one clinical trial Lyrica effectively helped reduce pain in only one in four patients, making the gamble on the merits of taking the drug even more precarious.
Dr. Stengler says that the fascinating thing about fibromyalgia is that there is no single root cause. Rather, it can result from any of a number of very different causes or catalysts, including injury such as whiplash, food allergies, hormone imbalances (low thyroid, for example), digestive problems, metal toxicity, neurotransmitter imbalances and more.
What’s common to all of these conditions, he says, is that they leave the cells unable to produce sufficient energy, causing pain signals to be released indiscriminately. Most fibromyalgia patients Dr. Stengler sees complain about insomnia, fatigue, muscle pain, tender points (spots tender to the touch), depression and digestive problems. Patients are more often women then men, typically between the ages of 40 and 60, which indicates that hormones may have something to do with the problem.
Indeed, Dr. Stengler says he often starts the testing process by evaluating hormone balances, including cortisol and DHEA, as well as estrogen, progesterone, testosterone and thyroid hormones. For patients who have a history of eating fish that may contain mercury (this includes deep water fish such as tuna, swordfish and shark) or who have several mercury fillings, he tests for metal toxicity since this can cause an increase in perceived pain. He may also measure how well digestion and nutrient absorption are functioning, since these factors too can amplify symptoms.
Other possible tests Dr. Stengler may order are to investigate levels of neurotransmitters (through urine testing) and vitamin D serum levels, which can affect pain receptors. These tests all provide valuable information on how to treat a particular individual’s symptoms.
NATURAL TREATMENTS WORK BETTER AND FASTER
Once he has determined that a patient has fibromyalgia, Dr. Stengler prescribes a number of substances aimed at keeping the disease from getting worse, and hopefully even reversing it. They are:
• Calcium and magnesium, to relax tight muscles and calm nerves
• Vitamin D, which reduces inflammation
• 5-HTP and SAMe increase serotonin, leading to reduction in pain signals
• MSM as a natural anti-inflammatory
• Sugar D-ribose to improve energy production within cells
• Neprinol, which was specifically formulated to stop and reverse fibromyalgia and may be effective for some.
Dr. Stengler also gives patients specific homeopathic substances to reduce muscle pain, including Rhus Tox (for stiffness and muscle ache that gets worse in cold weather), Cimicifuga racemosa (for muscle pain that feels like bruising, especially helpful when fibromyalgia affects the neck to mid-back) and Bryonia alba (for muscle and joint pain that is worse with motion).
Patients are also tested for food sensitivities and instructed to avoid foods that can aggravate symptoms.
All patients with fibromyalgia are prescribed an anti-inflammatory diet with lots of cold water fish (ones that don’t contain significant mercury, including salmon and sardines) along with loads of vegetables, and moderate amounts of fruit, nuts and lean red meat. Dr. Stengler has patients add anti-inflammatory spices — turmeric, garlic, onions and ginger, for example — to their diet as well, and for those with poor digestion he prescribes digestive enzymes. For pain and stress management he occasionally recommends chiropractic and/or acupuncture treatments, and he advises patients to develop good stress-control habits… deep breathing, exercise, and, when appropriate to the patient, prayer.
Many patients tell him they notice improvement within two to four weeks, says Dr. Stengler. Nearly all find that within eight to 10 weeks they have obvious or significant improvement in their fibromyalgia, with the pain receding considerably or sometimes even completely. Patients go on to lead normal lives, some continuing to stay on the supplement regimen, while others are able to reduce it quite a lot.
Fibromyalgia responds so well to natural treatment that Dr. Stengler believes it’s the best first-line approach for everyone who suspects they may have it. Even for those who opt to take drugs, it’s a good idea to ask your doctor if you can take natural substances to complement your treatment. Seek a doctor (such as a naturopathic doctor) who treats holistically, to monitor and serve as a guide on your journey back to a pain-free life.
